Services

Perfusion/Autotransfusion

Certified and qualified technicians to operative the heart lung machine and ancillary equipment for life support and blood management strategies in the Operating Room for improvedquality patient outcomes.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets from the patient.  As a concentrated source of autologous platelets, PRP contains and releases through degranulation several different growth factors and other cytokines that stimulate healing of bone and soft tissue.  PRP has been shown to accelerate healing, decrease pain, decrease the risk of infections (anti-microbial), and provide a hemostasis agent to decrease bleeding during surgery.  Also used for injection therapy for tendons, ligaments, muscle and cartilage repair. We have used PRP for 13 years and performed more than 23,000 procedures in all areas of surgery.

Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC)

An autologous minimally invasive blood therapy procedure that uses the patients own stem cells in a concentrated form to stimulate the healing process.  Stem cells play an important role in every healing process within the human body, especially for osteogenesis (bone formation) and angiogenesis (new blood vessels).  There is nothing better that works as well or as safe as a patient's own stem cells.  We routinely use BMAC for spinal fusions, fractures, and injection therapy to grow new cartilage for osteoarthritis of the knee and hip.

What Our Clients Say:

"I have worked with Gary and his team together for over a decade now. Even before there was the support of prestigious organizations like the Society for the Advancement of BloodManagement and the AABB, we were pioneering autologous blood conservation techniques. This has involved not just acquiring a unique, proven skill set, but also a passion. Now peer reviewed scientific literature overwhelmingly supports Patient Blood Management. Perioperative blood conservation strategies has been referred to as the "centerpiece" in patient bloodmanagement. This is a win-win for the institution, the physician and most important the patient! I would strongly recommend Comprehensive Blood Management, Inc. for all of your bloodhandling needs."

Patient Blood Management Coordinator

"Our hospital has utilized Comprehensive Blood Management, Inc. for all of our perioperative blood recovery services for 7 years now. I can say without a doubt that they have the best and most prepared technicians of any company around. We have used other independent companies in the past, but none compare to CBM. I would recommend that you consider their services and low supply costs even if you currently have another company now. I am sure they will exceed all of your expectations. I highly recommend them for their quality and cost savings."

"After losing over half of my body weight it was time to have some extra skin removed from my breasts and abdomen. However, after hearing the horror stories of the pain that people undergo with tummy tucks, I have to admit I was uncertain about whether or not I should go through with it. It wasn't far into my research that I learned about PRP use in order to reduce the risk of pain, infection, healing time, and bleeding after surgery. After learning that there were no risks associated with PRP I decided to go ahead with my tummy tuck and to utilize PRP. The PRP was used during my surgery prior to closing on my abdominal muscles that had been stitched together and along my 14-inch long incision across my lower abdomen. During my time of recovery, I was amazed at how well I felt. While I did of course have pain, the pain was nothing compared to the stories that I received. In fact, I only required pain medication for the first 3 days postop, which even was very surprising to my surgeon. I had no bruising and I had NO incisional pain! I am now almost 3 months post-op and my scar looks better than any other surgical scar that I have. I have a tendency to get big, ugly hypertrophic scars, however this is one much different. I am more than satisfied with my decision of using PRP! I felt that it helped me tremendously in my recovery and with my scars."
